Author E L James Signs with Universal Pictures to Film Fifty Shades Trilogy! In honor of the epic news that author E L James (aka: Snowqueens Icedragon, “Icy”) has signed up Universal Pictures / Focus Studios for the screen rights to the Fifty Shades of Grey Trilogy of films, I’m going to post one of my favorite (tamer) Fifty Shades quotes from the original Master of the Universe (MOTU), the fabulous fanfic that started it all!  Icy’s thousands (millions!) of avid MOTU fans/readers from 2009 onward eagerly awaited each MOTU chapter update with baited breath.  Each chapter published was followed by huge responses in reviews and much discussion in the blogosphere, Facebook and Twitter. We were totally enthralled! Following along as the story developed over a period of many months, with a painful hiatus in-between Parts 1 and 2, we MOTU fans fell totally head over heels in love with and became completely addicted to Fifty Shades!  I am sure I am only one of so many of Icy’s fans who encouraged her to change the names and publish this story for real…I remember writing Icy sometime in 2010 and telling her she would probably sell millions of copies…and that I had a further dream that MOTU would be made into a film…little did I know then!!! Look what’s happened now!!!  Dreams DO come true!!! I am so utterly happy for Icy / E L James —- she devoted so many thousands of hours I’m sure creating this epic romance, sharing it freely with her readers, and now to witness the fabulous success of the published books, is just so wonderful!!!! This has had made so many of Icy’s long-time ardent fans so excited and happy! And now to anticipate the story on the big screen too!!! OMG!  CONGRATULATIONS to you E L James, you so deserve ALL your success!!!
